When making purchase you should look for brands that cater especially to men who wear small sized suits. Most brands do not take the trouble of buying a small or extra small sized suit. However, if you are still unable to find one then you would have to buy the size that fits you the best and then you can make the desired changes.
When buying small size suits you need to ensure that the lower pockets on the coat is above the hips and not where the jacket starts to widen over them. However, if you are a man with a short height then you would want to go for pockets with slits rather than flaps. This is much less distracting. The upper breast pocket should be over the chest front and it should not be wrapped around your body asides. The suits that you buy should have lapels which match your torso width.
